Answer: Forgiveness within a Course in Miracles is absolutely correction of the mind. In the metaphysical aspect, you do have a split mind. The whites of the split mind is the ego (wrong mind). The other side could be the Holy Spirit (right mind) which produces correction, often known as forgiveness. Make no mistake: That is death for the ego!

Conclusion: The ego is really a vindictive and vicious thought system that aims to help keep you stuck these days by upping your separation from everyone else using judgment. You can not see Heaven from judgment.
