1. A: Hawthorne effect. The name emanates from studies of workers with a factory called Hawthorne Works during the early part of the twentieth century. The research discovered that when workers know they’re being monitored in an experiment, the results from the experiment tend to be unique of those achieved by workers enjoying an identical experiment who’re unaware that they’re being monitored.
