Costa Mesa CA July 13th, 2018 For Alina Lewis, UltraVain is like a new modern galaxy from the boring snack aisle. The UltraVain CEO was previewing her company’s offering of healthy snacks.
“We enjoy yourself. We have spent months developing recipes. We’ve been through hundreds formulations. It’s surreal to create people something totally new and slowly move the food industry forward.” Lewis said.
Merely a several years ago, Lewis would be a student of international business from the Czech republic who turned model after she met a photographer in the Prague fashion week, and moved to the United states of america to pursue her career.

“Everybody thinks it’s likely to be glitz and glam. And then you arrive and it’s posing, waiting, and sitting in a makeup chair. It simply wasn’t to me. I wanted to communicate my own, personal mind, develop that will create, continue within my education and discover fourth language you are studying,” Lewis said. “Everything changed in November 2017. My husband a seizure. Out of the blue without any prior health concerns whatsoever.”
Prompted to alter their lifestyle, Lewis began to understand reduced carb ketogenic lifestyle. “I destroyed my body thru dieting. Slow metabolism, hormonal imbalance and fatigue were taking a toll on me. I spotted meals is a medicine. I’ve spent months educating about healthy foods and new options. It became my passion and hobby.”

After some time Lewis began to experiment and make new healthy food choices combinations. “I attended the store to acquire some healthy bar to snack on. However i left disappointed, these were extremely high in calories, brimming with sugars, chemicals, and a few mono-whatevers.” Lewis said, laughing. “It was an eureka moment.
When i came home I started to produce my recipes. I had been like, ‘You understand what? I’m so fed up with these fake sugary products everywhere. Let’s make something real.” Though the first months were extremely hard. “You must pay focus on every detail. Also, since I used to be against using sugars and chemicals, on the other hand wanted protein inside our products it made everything even more complicated. At times we were over 16 hours in the kitchen area. Developing and baking.”

Lewis’ found a company partner in their husband, David Sebastian, photographer willing to help her and support Lewis’ passion. “There were some dark days once i was in a
hospital, and she or he told me regarding the reduced carbohydrate lifestyle. I was immediately in. I experienced mental clarity, strength, and I don’t seem like a drowsy zombie anymore.” Sebastian said.
